Performance Marketing Agency or Freelancer in Ahmedabad?

In short

Ahmedabad has plenty of performance marketing agencies. How to choose between an agency and a freelancer, what to check in any proposal, and what you must own.

Search “performance marketing agency in Ahmedabad” and you'll find many options. Whether you pick an agency or a freelancer (I'm one, based in Nadiad), the same checks protect your money.

Who actually runs your ads?

Ask for the name of the person who will build and optimise your campaigns, and talk to them before signing. With freelancers, that's the person you hire; with agencies it may be a junior specialist behind an account manager.

You must own the ad accounts

Your Google Ads account and Meta business portfolio should belong to your business, with the marketer added as a partner or user. If the relationship ends, the data, audiences and pixel history stay with you.

Fee and ad budget must be separate

The ad budget should be charged by Google or Meta to your own account. The marketer's fee is separate. Be careful with “₹X all-inclusive” packages where you can't see actual ad spend. My fees: Meta Ads ₹3,000 a month with creatives, Google Ads ₹5,000 a month, paid in advance; the budget goes straight to the platforms.

Tracking before spending

A good marketer sets up conversion tracking — calls, forms, WhatsApp clicks, purchases — before scaling spend. Ask what will be tracked and how you'll see it.

Agency or freelancer?

Agencies suit large budgets across many channels at once. A freelancer suits small and mid-size businesses that want direct contact and someone who can also fix the landing page — I build the websites as well, which removes a hand-off.

The first 30 days with a new marketer

A good first month looks like this: access to your accounts, a review of past campaigns, tracking checked or installed, a written plan with budgets and offers, then launch and weekly reviews. You should see the plan before money is spent.

Ask for a short weekly update in the first month — what ran, what it cost, what came in, what changes next. After that, monthly is usually enough.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should my ad account be in my name?

Yes. Own the accounts; give your marketer access. That keeps your data and history if you change providers.

What reports should I get?

Spend, leads or sales, cost per lead or sale, and what was changed — at least monthly, ideally weekly at the start.

Do you only work with Ahmedabad businesses?

No. I'm in Nadiad and work remotely with businesses across Gujarat, India and abroad.
