Project Overview

Siddharth Foundation is a charitable trust in Ahmedabad, set up in 2001 and registered under the Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950 and the Societies Registration Act, 1860. I designed and built its website, now live at siddharthfoundationindia.org with the credit "Developed By : Ankit Rai" in the footer. It explains who the foundation is and its ten areas of work, publishes impact stories, reports and media, and gives people clear ways to donate, volunteer, intern or work with the team. This is independent work — not through Rivavya — built entirely on my own.

The Challenge

A non-profit has several audiences at once: donors who want proof and a tax receipt, volunteers and interns who want to know how to join, CSR partners who want reports, and communities who want to know what the foundation does. The site had to serve all of them clearly — on phones first — and let the team publish new stories without a developer.

Architecture

Design / UX

Warm and trustworthy: the foundation's green-and-blue shield logo, real photographs from its programmes in a full-width slider, a gold Donate button on every page, and clear sections for About, Area of Work, Insights, Impact Stories, Media and Contact. Each area of work has its own page with a coloured icon, a short promise and a "Support" panel beside the content.

Development

Server-rendered pages hosted on Vercel, with an admin login for the team. Every area of work, impact story and insight is its own page; impact stories show the category, place and date and offer a downloadable version. The site has a sitemap, robots rules that keep the admin private, a canonical domain (www redirects to the main address) and NGO structured data with the foundation's address and contact point.

AI / Automation

Automation

• Donors choose Indian or foreign donation and a payment option — bank transfer (NEFT / RTGS / IMPS) or UPI — then upload the payment screenshot or receipt in the same form. • The team verifies each payment and the 80G receipt is emailed to the donor. • Donations can be directed to the general fund or to a specific area of work. • Online card / UPI payment through Razorpay is shown on the page as being set up.

Outcome

The foundation now has a complete, live website on its own domain that it can keep updated itself — with impact stories such as "Student Today, Teacher Tomorrow" at Kashindra Boys School and a food-distribution drive at Badrakha Village, Dholka already published.
