Will Google Ads Bring Calls and Leads? How I Set It Up

Add ANKITAI as a preferred source on Google

In short

Google Ads reaches people at the moment they search for what you sell — that's why it can bring calls and enquiries fast. Whether it does depends on the keywords you pay for, the page people land on, and tracking every call and form. Here's how I set it up for ₹5,000 a month.

“Google Ads se calls aayengi?” Google Ads is different from Meta: instead of showing your business to people who might be interested, it shows it to people who are searching for it right now — “laptop repair near me”, “website developer in Nadiad”, “PLM software Ahmedabad”. That intent is why it can bring calls and enquiries quickly. It's also why it can waste money quickly if the wrong searches trigger your ads. Here's what decides the result and how I set campaigns up.

1. Pay for the searches that mean business

The keyword list decides who sees your ads. I start with searches that show buying intent — the service plus a place, or a problem plus “near me” — and keep out the ones that don't, like “free”, “jobs” or “course”, with negative keywords. A small, tight list beats a broad one that matches everything.

2. Ads that match the search

Responsive search ads let Google combine several headlines and descriptions, so the ad can repeat the words people typed. Add your phone number as a call asset and your location, and someone on a phone can call you straight from the ad without opening a website.

3. A landing page that answers the search

Google rates how relevant and useful your landing page is, and it affects what you pay. Sending a “laptop repair in Bopal” search to a generic home page loses people. Sending it to a page about repairs in that area, with a booking button, keeps them.

That's how the One Click Computer store I'm building is laid out: area pages across Ahmedabad and an online repair booking that customers can track — the kind of page a search ad should land on.

4. Track every call and enquiry

Without conversion tracking, Google only knows who clicked. I set up conversions for calls from the ads, calls from the website, form submissions and WhatsApp taps, and use enhanced conversions where they fit. Once Google sees which clicks became leads, Smart Bidding can aim for more of those instead of more clicks.

For B2B sites the form itself matters: on JSK Infosolutions' site, enquiries are automated end to end, so every lead is captured and followed up — and counted.

Search or Performance Max?

Search campaigns show ads on Google search for the keywords you choose, and they're where I start for most local and service businesses, because you control exactly which searches you pay for. Performance Max runs across Search, YouTube, Display, Maps and more from one campaign; it can work well once conversion tracking is reliable and there's enough data, but it's harder to see where the money goes.

What I charge, and how it works

Google Ads management is ₹5,000 a month, paid in advance; Meta Ads is ₹3,000 a month. You can choose one or both. You decide the ad budget and pay it directly to Google from your own Google Ads account — it never passes through me.

You link your Google Ads account to my manager account, so you never share your Google password, keep full ownership of the account and its history, and can unlink me at any time.

What I won't promise

No one can promise a number of calls before ads run: it depends on search volume in your area, competitors' bids, your offer and how quickly calls are answered. I promise a clean, tracked setup, a report in calls, leads and cost per lead, and changes based on what the numbers show.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do Google Ads work for small local businesses?

Often, because they show your business to people searching for it right now. They work when keywords show buying intent, ads land on a relevant page, and calls and forms are tracked as conversions.

How much does Google Ads management cost?

With me, ₹5,000 per month, paid in advance. The ad budget is separate — you decide it and pay Google directly from your own account.

Should I use Search or Performance Max?

Most local and service businesses should start with Search campaigns for control over which searches they pay for. Performance Max can follow once conversion tracking is reliable.

Do I need to give you my Google password?

No. You link your Google Ads account to my manager account. You keep ownership and can unlink at any time.

Key Takeaways

  • Pay for searches with buying intent; block the rest with negative keywords.
  • Land each ad on a page that answers that search.
  • Track calls, forms and WhatsApp as conversions before scaling.
  • ₹5,000/month management; your budget goes straight to Google.
